Funding is now available for to help support local voluntary and community organisations that are helping vulnerable people
impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Grants of up to £5,000 are now available to ease the immediate difficulties communities
are facing and to support their recovery over the coming weeks and months.

Guidance for businesses coming out of lockdown
Guidance for businesses is available on our Covid-19 webpages. These are being continuously updated to keep you and your

Test and Trace workplace guidance
The guidance on the NHS test and trace service for employers has today (15 June) been updated.
If there is more than one case of coronavirus associated with a workplace, employers should contact their local health protection
team to report the suspected outbreak.
A link to a tool that identifies the relevant local health protection team has been included in the guidance
Overnight accommodation providers
Overnight accommodation providers including hotels guest houses, Airbnbs and privately owned holiday lets, campsites and
holiday parks must remain closed at this time. We have seen increasing numbers of complaints from members of the public that
we take very seriously and continue to investigate.

Public Health update on COVID-19 cases in Dorset
Cases of COVID-19 remain low in Dorset. Between 12 and 18 August, there were 6 confirmed positive cases in the Dorset
Council area.
Heading off on holiday?
Be aware that you may have to self-isolate for 14 days on your return home from some countries (including Croatia, Austria and
Trinidad and Tobago from 22 August).
Gov UK has a list of countries where you will have to self-isolate on your return to the UK.
What to do if you feel unwell, or live with someone who is unwell
Get a test now and don't leave home for at least 10 days if you have either:
•
A high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
•
A new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
•
Loss or change in sense or smell or taste

'Better deal for bus users' funding received
We've received a funding grant of £299,159 from the Department for Transport for supporting bus services in Dorset in
2020/21.
