John Kirkpatrick presents a heart-warming look at the timeless rituals and folklore of midwinter England. Mysterious and magical songs of wassailing, wren-hunting, stirring the fire and incessant feasting come dressed up in a glittering finery of toe-tapping tunes and cracking choruses. A master of the melodeon, button accordion and anglo concertina, John also has an enviable reputation as a fine singer and interpreter of English folk music. Tickets – Adults £9; U18s £6. Please contact Diana Cheater (01308 482223) or Steve Kourik (1308 482552). Experience a wonderful, warm lead-up to Christmas.

Summer is over, travellers are returning fired for a new season of serious competition on the green carpet. The sound of wood on wood, cries of anguish and despair as the dreaded white bar goes cartwheeling, match of the week has started again! Can YOU stand the tension, deciding whether to deliver a skilful curving shot, or windup to send a powerful toe crusher down the mat? Who thought this was a peaceful pastime? Why not come along and try your hand for an hour, first session is free! Starting TUESDAY 12th NOVEMBER at 4.00 pm, give John Firrell a call on 01308 482313 or Ron Davidson 01308 482661.
